Feel Good Friday

So, it's my current goal to go to a concert every week from now until the end of 2014. My running  streak is July 18th-Present. Coincidentally that's the same week I started my new job at this firm and moved to Louisville, KY. Unfortunately, it's led to the failure of my first CPA exam - but I'm getting much better at balancing... maybe, we'll see. I take AUD October 31st.

Last weekend it was Spoon in Indy and this weekend its Young The Giant here in Louisville (which I will most definitely be posting about tomorrow). I tend to fall into a state of depression if I don't have any events to go to. My relationship with music is a bit unhealthy to say the least.

Lately, I've even been doing some tax research about musicians and bands, internally trying to develop a career niche. Isn't it every professional's dream to somehow mix what they love into how they make a living? I think most people would define that as success.

It's been my experience that people don't appreciate when great things are happening in their lives. They are able to wallow when things are going wrong but people should celebrate when life is good. And that's probably my motivation with going to all these concerts. Not just because I get depressed when I'm not somehow implicating music in my everyday life, but because I'm celebrating this stage of my life. I'm getting to know myself and I surprisingly like who I'm getting to know!

I think that's probably enough inspirational emission for one day...

Here are some Feel Good Tunes to get you tuned up for this amazing weekend.
