Giant Tunes
Public @ 4th Street Live
Happy Music Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was as remarkable as mine. Post concert depression is setting in hard, but good thing I'm seeing OK Go at Headliners tomorrow night. I've only been living in Louisville for about two months and I must say - I am utterly impressed with the music scene here.
On Saturday, 4th Street Live put on a free concert where a Cincinnati band called Public opened for Young The Giant. The energy and excited of Public was great, and the freshman girls that were visiting from the University of Kentucky were thoroughly amused with the flirty lyrics of their tunes.
This is the first time I've seen Young the Giant live and 4th Street isn't my personal favorite venue but the show was absolutely AMAZING! The lead singer, Sameer Gadhia, is incredibly talented; I'm pretty sure he has the ability to call the soul out of your body with his voice.

YTG released their second album Mind Over Matter earlier this year and opened on Saturday with the track in the video above. I really like their new album but I'm definitely partial to the first. Every track on their first album blows me away.
They're playing in Bloomington, IN in about a month so I might have to make a trip up there and see them again.
